It will also help Cowichan Women Against Violence Society offer programs and services to help women survivors of intimate partner violence and their children break the cycle of abuse and move into a brighter future, self-sufficiently.

At CWAVS, we do our best to help meet the needs of women, children and families across the Cowichan Valley. Whether it is women who arrive at Somenos House with nothing, or those who are struggling through poverty, many are not always able to access basic necessities. We make sure to provide these individuals with the things they need, and regularly welcome donations of any of the following items:

  • Toiletries (including toothpaste, toothbrushes (all sizes), deodorant, soap, feminine hygiene products, shampoo and conditioner)
    Diapers (all sizes)
  • Toilet Paper
  • Non-perishable food items (canned and dry goods)
  • New underwear and socks, for women, men and children, in all sizes
  • Bus tickets
  • Food & Pharmacy Gift Cards

Donated items are gratefully accepted at our community office, located at 246 Evans St, Duncan, between the hours of 9:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
