Cedar Branches
Cedar Branches Women’s Shelter (formerly Charlotte’s Place) is now open at 1081 Canada Avenue!
Cedar Branches Women’s Shelter is a safe place of community and security for women experiencing homelessness. It is a low-barrier, wet, 19+ shelter that operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. It currently has a 20-24 person capacity. It offers laundry services, shower facilities, meals, basic supports, and referrals to other services as needed.

Somenos Transition House
Somenos House provides free and confidential emergency short-term shelter and support for women (with or without children) needing safety from violence and abuse.
You may be feeling conflicted. It's normal to love someone but also feel hate, mistrust, confusion, and despair. Our counsellors are available 24/7 to help you make the next step.
You can refer yourself or be referred by someone who wants to help (friend, social worker, family, coworker, police). Call the house to talk to a staff member.

Kw'i Lelum Second Stage
Kw’i Lelum provides time-limited subsidized housing with specialized supportive programming for women and children experiencing gender based, domestic, or family violence who are ready for the next step.
Women with or without children who are experiencing domestic, family, gender-based or intimate partner violence are eligible for this program. This program might be for you if you want to make a life change and are prepared to participate in programs and services towards independent, market-rate housing.
