Homelessness Prevention Program

The Homelessness Prevention Program provides women (with or without children) who have experienced or are at risk of violence with temporary rent supplements to help them stabilize housing. The rent supplements and support services help recipients access rental housing in the private (non-subsidized) housing market and community-based services.

These services are primarily for CWAVS clients who have been referred by their counsellors.

This program offers a one-time Housing Loss Prevention financial support for Indigenous Peoples in Duncan who are at imminent risk of losing their housing. Financial support is for those with an eviction notice or hydro disconnection.
