International Women’s Day 2025: Accelerate Action
Join the Cowichan Women Against Violence Society for a night of solidarity and celebration. There will be food, friends, a DIY photo booth, community engagement, a trash-to-treasure silent auction, dancing, and games :)
Spend the evening connecting with other local service providers and community members from all sectors of our community while enjoying a wonderful potluck and activities. Learn more about CWAV and have the opportunity to connect with staff and other community partners. This event is to uplift and celebrate the wonderful achievements of women in our community as well as the work we all do every day to empower equity.
Tickets are free, but we ask folks to either bring a pre-packaged item to add to the potluck or a donation.
Doors open at 5:30 pm and the event starts at 6 pm with a Welcoming and short speech, the potluck directly follows.
Nonalcoholic drinks will be provided. This is an alcohol-free event.
The "trash to treasure" silent auction will run throughout the event, with the call for final bids at 8 pm. All winning bids must be paid before leaving. The event ends at 9:30 pm.
We can't wait to see you and celebrate with you! And though we are indeed celebrating International Women's Day, all genders and youth are welcome and encouraged to attend!
