Funders and Partners
Several businesses support the work of CWAV Society and by supporting them, you can support us at the same time.
Forte School of Music is an incredible supporter of CWAVS! They offer music lessons in piano, singing, ukulele, music theory, guitar, composing, and choir. Forte School of Music strives to instill the love of music to students of all levels and ages including children and adults. As classically trained musicians and teachers, they provide a technically sound musical foundation for every student, so they have the ability to explore many genres. Forte School of Music feels passionately about staying connected to the musical community and provides students with many opportunities to get involved and perform outside of their regular lesson time.
Kroffat Brake & Wheel is committed to supporting our local community through our Charity Partner Program. When you come in for your next repair tell us you wish to support CWAV Society and we will donate 2% of your invoice. Together, we can make a difference in our community!
Do you shop at Thriftys? Come to our office (246 Evans Street) and pick up a SMILE card. Load the card at Thriftys service counter then use it when paying for your groceries. A percentage based on what you spend is given to us by Thriftys. This is being put towards purchasing an Outdoor Canopy for when we attend events to promote our work.
Do you shop at Country Grocer? Country Grocer donates $50 to CWAV for every $5,000 worth of receipts we bring in. Save your receipts from Lake Cowichan Country Grocer and drop them off at our office 246 Evans Street Monday through Friday 9:30AM to 4PM.
Support CWAV Society when you fuel up at the Peninsula CO-OP! When you fuel up at any Peninsula Co-op gas station, tell them you want to donate your gas purchase points to Cowichan Women Against Violence Society or give them our Account # 48047.
Whenever you take your refundables to Cowichan Valley Bottle Depot located at 6747 Norcross Road, donate the proceeds to Cowichan Women Against Violence Society. Or save them for us and bring them in when CWAVS is the Bottle Depot’s Black Tie Charity. We do the sorting and benefit from your generosity.
The Garden House Foundation
The Garden House Foundation fund (GHFF) was formed in September 2008 under the umbrella of the Victoria Foundation by Jim and Jackie Barker. The primary goals of the GHFF are to provide support to families in crisis and animals in need in the Cowichan Valley on Vancouver Island in British Columbia. Funds from their Annual Charity Book Sale held every autumn in Cobble Hill continue to provide amazing support to CWAV Society!
