Welcome to Cowichan Women Against Violence Blog: A Space for Community and Communication

Let’s Embark on This Journey to Stop Violence,

Together.

Hello, dear reader, and welcome to the official blog of Cowichan Women Against Violence! We're thrilled to provide this platform as a source of inspiration and reliable information for you, our cherished community members and those beyond. Our main goal? To promote awareness, offer support, inspire change and contribute towards building a stronger, safer Cowichan.

Cowichan Women Against Violence (CWAV) is more than just an organization—we are advocates driven by compassion extending hope and help where it is needed most. With diverse services rolled into one entity, CWAV embraces various initiatives related to ending gender-based violence, homelessness prevention, counseling services, advocacy programs, youth groups, and more. With over twenty-six programs, and growing, the CWAVS blog will be a place to share and grow together.

Our blog will serve as a reflection of our commitment. Expect posts that illuminate real life stories from within— echoes of resilience and defiance as well as beacons of hope. With the current threat to marginalized communities in Canada and the social censorship of Canadian news on other platforms, now is more important than ever for us to share what’s important for our communities.

Subscribe to our newsletter and blog to stay up-to-date on CWAVS past, present, and future projects. In addition, we'll guide readers through news updates relating to social service reforms concerning homelessness, gender-based violence, mental health among others—basically everything you need to stay well informed about topics that deeply resonate with us as an organization. Importantly though, our aim is not only to disseminate information but also encourage dialogue. We value your thoughts, feedback and interactions which would further enrich this vibrant platform.

So, get ready for content filled with heartwarming stories of resilience, reader-driven information about our services, insightful conversations on societal issues along with ideas to swing the pendulum towards a more equal and safe society.

In conclusion, dear reader: you matter. Your voice matters. Every single person deserves respect, safety, mental health care, and security. We're persistently fighting for these rights, and we invite you to join us on this journey. Subscribe to our posts and share them across your networks. Let's embark on this quest to stop violence together.
