Let’s Create Something Together
This December 6th, CWAVS is hosting a Vigil Walk starting at 6 p.m. at 246 Evans Street to honor, remember, and take action against gender-based violence. We are creating an art installation that can be appreciated by the public after the event: a memorial tree. We are inviting anyone who wants to contribute to write their message so it can be hung on the tree prior to the event. You can include your name, or not, and feel free to submit multiple messages.
The goal is to create many “leaves” — memories, tributes, messages of love, and anything in between — and pin them to the tree to honor lost and stolen sisters and to speak out against gender based violence.
